Artifacts of Technology: Indices of Progress in Development
Abstract
Man has employed technology to conquer and manipulate the world. Recent technological developments, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact on a global scale.
However, not all technology is benign. Using secondary information from literature, this review paper explains artifacts and technology, and relates artifacts of technology to development.
